The police in Plainfield, Illinois, are being taught several misconceptions about Islam. Hamas-linked CAIR’s Sabeel Ahmed led presentations alongside Muhammad and Zulfie Khan of the Al-Aqsa Community Center.
“Contrary to popular belief, he [Ahmed] said, true Islam does not suppress women. He explained that in some cultures, women are forced into marriage. In Islam, there is no forcing males or females into marriage and women are empowered.”
Hm, that seems a bit odd, considering he also suggests for police to always have a female officer when investigating cases involving Muslims. So much for equality!
If this is what US police are learning, how will our law enforcement help victims of violence, not to mention evaluate potential links to terrorism? Interestingly enough, on the webpage for the article, the video insert of of a police briefing in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where a knife-wielding jihadist targeted infidels. Mixed messages – sad!

PLAINFIELD – A partnership was recently reached between the Plainfield Police Department and Al Aqsa Community Center to strengthen the relationships between law enforcement, Muslims and the local communities in which they live.Plainfield Police Chief John Konopek and Cmdr. Mike Novak recently visited the Al Aqsa Community Center, 17940 S. Bronk Road in Plainfield, for a meet and greet, Imam Charles Muhammad said.On Tuesday, Muhammad and Zulfie Khan, the center’s secretary general, presented alongside Sabeel Ahmed to Plainfield police at the Plainfield Law Enforcement Center. Ahmed is director of GainPeace, a nonprofit with a main goal of educating the public about Islam and clarifying many misconceptions they may hold.Ahmed said that before he came to America 20-plus years ago, he thought everyone was violent in the U.S. because of what he had seen in movies.Once he started socializing, he learned Americans seek peace and aspire for better communities just such as he does. He said he realized he should not judge based on perceptions he was being fed through the media or other sources.Clarifying misconceptions is what the police-community center partnership hopes to do in the Plainfield area. Muhammad said the department and Al Aqsa want to continue fostering the relationship, as more than 600 Muslim families live within a 10-mile radius of the community center.In his presentation, Ahmed touched on several common misconceptions about Islam and Muslims.Contrary to popular belief, he said, true Islam does not suppress women. He explained that in some cultures, women are forced into marriage. In Islam, there is no forcing males or females into marriage and women are empowered.Ahmed then pointed to a picture on his slideshow with Muslim women of different skin tones from different countries who won medals in the 2016 Olympic games.He said that despite what is in the news, Muslims in America are statistically the least threat to society. Muslims are also active in civic engagement. He said Islam teaches them to help the poor, needy and homeless.Officers in attendance asked questions about the differences between certain articles of clothing and how to best police in specific situations. One officer asked about the best way to approach a situation where a Muslim woman is a victim of violence.Muhammad advised the officers that if there does not appear to be severe injuries, then to respect the hijab – a headscarf worn by Muslim women in the presence of men outside their immediate family. But if an officer is certain there are head injuries, they must do what is necessary to treat the woman, he said. Ahmed recommended having a female officer present if at all possible in such a situation.

SEX slaves captured by ISIS terrorists are being sold at sickening auctions in Saudi Arabia – a key UK ally – Sun Online has been told.
The horrifying discovery was unveiled when a jihadi was killed in fighting at the town of Al-Shirqat, which was taken over by the terror group in 2014.
Members of the Iraqi Popular Mobilisation Units, a state-sponsored militia fighting to liberate the town, recovered his mobile phone and claimed to have found horrifying images of the sickening trade.
The Arab nation is part of the international coalition fighting Islamic State alongside the UK and US but wealthy Saudis have been accused of sponsoring the terror group for years.
Britain also sells weapons to Saudi Arabia, despite concerns the hardline Muslim nation is committing war crimes in Yemen – and it “seems inevitable” they involve UK weapons according to a report leaked earlier this month.
The kingdom has also faced numerous accusations of human rights abuses, including torture, degrading punishments and savage executions.
A spokesman for the PMU told Sun Online: “Our investigation officer was appalled at the set of images involving what we believe to be an Iraqi Yazidi (an ethnic minority in the region) woman taken as sex slave.
"Images were of the auction in Saudi Arabia of the woman and sexually explicit materials of the fighter and the woman in a hotel.
"Location data was observed on the image file as enabled by default on many smart phones.
"Further images involved ISIS members in Iraqi areas occupied by ISIS including Mosul and Baiji which indicates this fighter has been with ISIS for a long period of time as Baiji was liberated by us months ago."
The fighters are now desperately trying to track down the woman's family and launch a rescue attempt.
"We are engaging with our Yazidi members to find the family of the woman, location and health status," the spokesman added.
"We hope to liberate her and all Iraqi women taken as sexual slaves by ISIS within Iraq or outside of Iraq as their basic human rights are being denied.
"We cannot allow this, as the force dedicated to the defence of Iraqi citizens."
Sadly, it is not the first time the accusation that ISIS sells rape victims to Saudi Arabians has emerged.
An 18-year-old Yazidi sex slave who escaped ISIS claims she was sold in an international auction.
The teenager, Jinan, was abducted from her village in Northern Iraq last year when ISIS troops stormed her village and took her prisoner before torturing and sexually abusing her and the other captives in the terror group’s stronghold of Mosul.
She said said dozens of women were being held in a large room, and it was not only Iraqis and Syrians trading women but also Saudis and Westerners, whose actual nationality was not clear.
Potential buyers, she wrote in her book 'Daesh's Slave' would inspect the women "like livestock".
The Saudi Ministry of Justice has been approached for a comment.

SANTA ANA – An Anaheim man who tried to fly out of the country to join the Islamic State was sentenced Monday to 30 years in prison for conspiring to aid the foreign terrorist group.Nader Salem Elhuzayel, who was also convicted of running a banking scheme to bankroll his planned trip to the Middle East, looked down, stretched and then glanced at his family as U.S. District Judge David O. Carter handed down his sentence at the federal courthouse in Santa Ana.“There is no remorse,” Carter said of Elhuzayel. “There is just death and destruction.”The judge particularly noted Elhuzayel’s apparent aim to become a martyr. Even after his prison sentence, the judge ordered that Elhuzayel must remain on supervised release for the rest of his life.“What is striking to this court is the fact you were willing to die,” Carter said.Elhuzayel’s family reacted with disbelief to the judge’s decision. His mother, Falak, exclaimed “there is no justice in this country, no justice whatsoever” as she left the courtroom.“He is a peace-loving human being,” said Nader Elhuzayel’s father, Salem, outside the courtroom. “We experienced a miscarriage of justice.”

Assistant U.S. Attorney Judith Heinz painted a much darker picture of Elhuzayel’s actions during her comments before the judge.“The seriousness of these offenses cannot be overstated,” she said of Elhuzayel’s support of the Islamic State. “It is the most lethal, it is the most brutal, it is the most heinous organization on the face of the earth.”Elhuzayel pushed back against the prosecutor’s allegations.“I am not bad,” Elhuzayel said to the courtroom. “I am not evil. I am a good guy. I say that with my heart.”“I love you Mom and Dad,” he added.In a court brief filed prior to the sentencing, Pal Lengyel-Leahu, Elhuzayel’s attorney, described his client as a lost young man whose family was hit hard by the financial downturn.“Nader Elhuzayel appears to (be) a man of deep confusion, longing to find an identity for himself,” the defense attorney wrote to Judge Carter. “Nader has always been a rule follower, just looking for someone to show him the way.”On May 21, 2015, Elhuzayel was stopped at a security counter at Los Angeles International Airport attempting to board a flight bound for Israel. Federal agents, who had conducted surveillance on Elhuzayel for at least a month, believed that he was planning to use a scheduled layover in Turkey to head to Syria and become a fighter for the Islamic State.FBI investigators were unconvinced by Elhuzayel’s claim that he was traveling to Tel Aviv to marry a Palestinian woman he met online. The agents pointed to social media postings in which Elhuzayel and friend Muhanad Badawi discussed dying as martyrs….

Black Lives Matter Group Threatens New Orleans with Monument Vandalism

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana – An organization aligned with the Black Lives Matter movement is now threatening the City of New Orleans publicly, defacing historical monuments and demanding they be torn down.
The group, “Take ‘Em Down Nola,” has for more than a year called for the removal of every historical monument in the city of New Orleans with ties to the Confederacy and Civil War after Mayor Mitch Landrieu (D) raised the issue following the Charleston, South Carolina AME Church shooting.
Over the weekend, Take ‘Em Down Nola vandalized the city’s PGT Beauregard monument, a monument to Jefferson Davis, along with a monument to Robert E. Lee, known as Lee Circle, with threatening messages to the Landrieu administration.
“We ready, we comin’. Take ‘em down,” the vandalism on the Jefferson Davis monument read.
Meanwhile, the message on the PGT Beauregard monument sent an ultimatum to the city, reading “Take ‘em down, or we will.”
Lee Circle’s monument was vandalized with a scissors and perforation lines, depicting the early steps to tearing the monument down from the city’s Central Business District.
New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) Public Information Officer Dawne Massey said law enforcement was “monitoring the situation,” when asked by Breitbart Texas if the police had taken action yet.
The Landrieu Administration and NOPD have been criticized in the past for failing to punish vandals who deface monuments.
Pete McGraw, the leader of a New Orleans-based organization that cleans the monuments free of charge to the City, said the vandalism by the group has gotten progressively more violent in message.
“The graffiti has changed,” McGraw told Breitbart Texas. “Now the language is ‘or we will…’”
Take ‘Em Down Nola has been vandalizing monuments across New Orleans for months, with previous messages also becoming threatening to the City and police officers directly.
One message read: “Fist Up. Shoot Back,” accompanied with the #F*ck12 hashtag, which celebrated the death of New York City Police Department officers and has been previously reported on by Breitbart Texas.
McGraw noted that since Landrieu first incited the vandalism and racial upheaval in New Orleans, not one monument to a black American figure in the city has been vandalized in retaliation to Take ‘Em Down Nola.
The threatening messages come just a week before Take ‘Em Down Nola plans to physically tear down New Orleans’ most famous French Quarter monument depicting President Andrew Jackson on horseback, as Breitbart Texas reported.
Currently, monument removal in the city is being held up in the courts, with opposition groups trying to slow the process.
